Grape seed oil a very commonly used carrier oil that has a fine texture and is almost odourless, light in texture and is easily absorbed by the skin. It is a good basic carrier oil, and can be enriched with other essential oils or carrier oils.Grapeseed oil is suitable for all skin types. Its odourless quality makes it an ideal base for essential oils. It is an extremely soothing and an excellent emollient, it is ideal for skins that do not absorb oils easily, as it is finer even than sweet almond, and therefore absorbs more quickly.It is known not to aggravate acne, has mildly astringent qualities which help to tighten and tone the skin, which makes it useful for acne and other skin complaints and is said to have regenerative and restructuring virtues due to its essential fatty acid content.
